Join the cultural organizations of San Angelo as they celebrate National Museum Day.
On Saturday, September 26, Fort Concho, the Nature Center, the Railway Museum, The Museum of Fine Arts, and Miss Hattie’s Museum are all joining forces to our bring San Angelo a day of Science, History, Art, and more! All five museums will be offering free admission, with special programs, exhibits, and displays.
All five museums have even put together a gift basket to be given away to one lucky guest!
By visiting multiple attractions, guests will be eligible to enter into the drawing. Guests can pick up an official National Museum Dar card at any of the participating organizations, and have them marked as they visit each museum. After visiting at least three attractions, guests can turn in their card, with their contact information filled out. The drawing will be held the following week and the winner announced on social media platforms.
Hours of operations vary by Museum:
Fort Concho: 9 am – 5 pm
Nature Center: 10 am – 4 pm
Railway Museum: 10 am – 4 pm
Museum of Fine Arts: 11 am – 4 pm
Miss Hattie’s: 1 pm – 4 pm

*Fort Concho’s artillery crew will fire off hourly salutes from 10 am to 3 pm, and The Charles Goodnight – Texas Icon exhibit is on display in Barracks 1 Visitor Center.
All guests are asked to wear masks when they are inside the museums. Social distancing should be followed in any public area.*Railway Museum of San Angelo will have Story Time and Scavenger Hunts with Dr. Bond at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. Along with a special musical performance by Billy Dan Langley from 2 pm - 3 pm.
